About KitchenSync

KitchenSync is nutrition label and recipe costing software for small food businesses. It keeps recipes, nutrition, allergens and ingredient costs in one place, so a change to a recipe updates its Nutrition Facts label and its cost per serving at the same time.

Why it exists

Jennifer Trippett built KitchenSync. She is a software engineer who started a healthy food brand, CrunchCraft. Running it, she needed to manage recipes, experiment with new versions, and keep costs and nutrition up to date as recipes changed, and she found no good tool that did all of that together. So she built one.

The features map to those needs: recipe versions for experimenting with variations, nutrition and Nutrition Facts labels calculated from USDA FoodData Central, and recipe costing from your supplier prices, all on the same recipe. There is a free plan with one recipe and no credit card required.
